One of Mitsubishi’s newest compact crossover, the Eclipse Cross
, has started to make waves in the SUV industry with it’s smaller size and loaded features. Debuting in 2017, the Eclipse Cross was built on Mitsubishi’s GS platform giving it a familiar shape but with a more stylish look. With 4 different trim levels to choose from, you can easily get the features and equipment that you want paired with the perfect engine for your needs.
Today, we are going to take a closer look at the 2019 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross SE trim level and see exactly what features make this trim level so popular. We will look at the drivetrain, fuel economy, exterior features, and interior equipment to give you a quick snapshot of what you will be getting.
One of the most important components of an SUV is having enough horsepower and torque to not only tow and easily pass slower traffic on the highway, but to make the driving experience a pleasurable one as well. Mitsubishi has equipped the Eclipse Cross SE with a fuel efficient 1.5L 4 cylinder MIVEC direct injection, turbocharged engine that is capable of 152 horsepower and 184 lb-feet of torque. This is backed by an 8 speed CVT automatic transmission with sport mode for more spirited driving applications.
This drivetrain combination allows for a fuel economy of 25 miles per gallon in the city and 26 miles per gallon on the highway. The turbocharged engine allows for more efficient fuel consumption allowing for these great fuel economy numbers.
On the exterior, you will notice that the Eclipse Cross boasts a smaller frame than most SUVs or Crossovers. This compact crossover’s small size is not to be confused with less features as the Cross packs a punch when compared to the competition
With the exterior, you will get to choose from great features such as premium wheels, chrome door handle covers/side view mirror covers/lower door moldings, tailgate lights, front and rear garnish, black lug nuts, black wheel locks, front and rear mudguards, a hood protector, roof rails, and much more.
The interior is where the Eclipse Cross really shines featuring a 7” Smartphone link thin display audio system with touchpad controller, blind spot warning with lane change assist and rear cross traffic alert, Mitsubishi Connect Telematics System and 24 month trial subscription of Remote services, heated front seats, Satellite Radio 3 month trial subscription, and a leather wrapped steering wheel.
You will also enjoy other great features such as an LED interior enhancement package that includes LED room, map, and cargo lights. The door switch panels are also painted black on this package for an added accent to the interior. To protect your carpet from mud, water, snow, or dirt, you can opt for the all weather package that includes all weather floor mats and a cargo tray to keep your car clean. A cargo mat and cargo net are also included as an optional add-on to keep your groceries or personal items secure.
